I know they support it better, but I still would HATE it if that became the permanent site. Let's just say that it's never an OU-friendly place, as far as I've been able to tell.

At least they did away with that heinous "holiday tournament" that ended after my junior year at OU in '78-79. Talk about a waste, especially to everyone who wasn't part of the "big 3" (as Tubbs used to call it - KU, KSU and Mizzou).

None of the Big 12 sports should lock their post season stuff into one site. Move it around.

The University of Oklahoma is now the #4 most popular school in the KC metro, behind KU, KSU, and MU... There is a reason that the store Kansas Sampler now sells more OU stuff in it then small colleges. OU is now respected in KC and has one of the better, outside of Oklahoma and the Dallas Metroplex, followings.

I'm biased and admittedly have not attended a tournament in OKC, but I can't imagine any city doing it any better than KC when it comes to the week of the tourney.

There are few things I enjoy more than going to Kansas City for the Big 12 Basketball Tournament.

I guess a lot's changed in 22 years. I'm the only one in my family who's never been up there - I just think of it as (A) the place where the rest of the folks hated OU with a passing (after my brother's experience at the OU-ISU title game in '85) and (B) the site of the heinous Mistake of '88.
