I don't know their normal process but last year they elected 6 players and Sheryl Swoopes was the only lady, 2 coaches, 1 referee and 1 contributor. This year they have 13 women nominees and Muffet McGraw is also nominated along with 5 other coaches. Being the only nominee as both a coach and a player may benefit Kim to being elected this go round but with 6 coaches nominated it will not be easy.

Eighteen player inductees are women: Lusia Harris-Stewart (1992), Nera D. White (1992), Ann E. Meyers (1993), Uļjana Semjonova (1993), Carol A. Blazejowski (1994), Anne T. Donovan (1994), Cheryl Miller (1995), Nancy I. Lieberman (1996), Joan Crawford (1997), Denise M. Curry (1997), Lynette Woodard (2004), Hortência de Fatima Marcari (2005), Cynthia Cooper-Dyke (2010), Teresa Edwards (2011), Katrina McClain Johnson (2012), Dawn Staley (2013), Lisa Leslie (2015), and Swoopes (2016). Ten of the inducted coaches are women: L. Margaret Wade (1985), Jody Conradt (1998), Pat Head Summitt (2000), Sandra Kay Yow (2002), Sue Gunter (2005), Cathy Rush (2008), C. Vivian Stringer (2009), Tara VanDerveer (2011), Alexeeva (2012), and Sylvia Hatchell (2013).

Sherri is a member of the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame not the Naismith Hall of Fame.

Oh, Spock, was this necessary? It's just going to bring on a new wave of Mulkey Hatred in 5, 4, 3, 2, and....

She certainly belongs in the recruiting hall of fame.

Kim Mulkey's success is undeniable. As much as some may dislike it, she has been more successful than Sherri on the national level.

I'd rather drop the program than have someone like her running it.

Certainly true .......

Assuming you are talking about the number of times your team has been penalized for cheating in recruiting by the national organization (NCAA).

Curious thing that many so-called OU fans can have so much disdain for Sherri Coale and such unabashed admiration for Kim Mulkey.

Maybe Kim Mulkey has cleaned up the program now. Do some of you want her ban for life ?
I find that hard to believe, OU is known for giving out second chances anything sports related.

OU tends to be forgiving of young people. But, OU fans were even less than forgiving of a male basketball coach whose crime was too many phone calls. He gets a lot of criticism on this board. Adults come under a different scrutiny than young people.

When adult coaches attack the young of the other team, it tends to be very unpopular.
