I gotta say, they look like crap on paper. OU should have a chance in this one. They dont look very good at all.

I bet the atmosphere will suck as well. Nothing like the last time we were there that's for sure.

Still we are 'dogs going into this one.

Honestly the situation with their team sounds pretty similar to ours. Once a very good basketball program that has been struggling lately, fans are getting fed up w/ the coach, probably won't be a lot of people there. I expect this to be a close game, not sure if we win or not...

I went to the game 2 years ago in Fayetteville. They weren't any good that year, but their fans showed up and were pretty loud. It was a great basketball atmosphere. I know their fans aren't big on Pelphrey, but I still think they willl have a pretty decent homecourt advantage just with the name OU coming to town. A lot of people in Arkansas hate OU and Texas. That home court really helped them in both the OU and Texas games that year.

I agree with SoonerinMI that the teams are similar. One Oklahoma kid averaging 16 ppg, and a bunch of guys that don't really know their role.

The interesting thing to me will be to see if Arkansas presses, and if so, how our guards will handle it. Thats why I posted a few days ago, to see if anybody had seen them play this year. I know they are playing 10-12 guys, but I dont know if they are going back to the 40 minutes of hell or not.

If it were in Norman I think the game would be similar to last year. Since it's there, I expect all that to be too much for a team with so many new players.

2 years ago Blake was coming into town. This years team does not feature the must see superstar like 2008-2009 featured.. That definitely had an effect on crowd size

They were very similar to us last year. They had talent with Fortson and Washington, and they had a good stretch about the same time that we were beating Arizona, Utah and Arkansas, but then they faded in SEC play, like we did.

I wonder if their fans will ditch them like ours have so far this year?

I believe this year they are experiencing record-low attendance thus far.
