After watching the 2 big 12 games tonight I am amazed with only one post player Spangler a 4 and 1 Sr starter OU finished second in the tough Big 12.

It is clear these 4 teams all have superior post players and depth in the paint.

We are a couple of post athletes away fron being really good next year.

I agree. We started 4 guards and 1 post player. One of the 4 guards was a true freshman playing probably the toughest position: PG. Our first post player off the bench was Tyler Neal, and I was real happy for him that he did a decent job. Bennett got better during the season and gave Spangler some rest. It would have helped a lot to have M'Baye and one of the jucos come through for us in the post: Hamilton or Avila. None of the 3 of them were even on the team.

Both of our seniors, Clark and Neal, had better years than I expected. It has been a good way to wrap up their careers.

It was a remarkable job by the coaching staff (and players) to come in 2nd place. They all deserve some credit.

You tend to forget about those guys. OU would have been much better with M'Baye and one of the Juco Bigs. M'Baye would have averaged 10+ a game. The Juco kid would have helped OU in practice and provided depth in foul trouble situations. He would also allow Spangler to play more aggressively on defense. Spangler could not risk foul trouble this year and both he and Kruger new it.
