KSU-Georgetown

KSU lost 90-63 to a Georgetown team which just lost to the mighty Northeastern Huskies 63-56.

I will be disappointed if we don't sweep KSU this year.

We should have a chance to sweep Tech, Texas, TCU, WVU, and KSU. Maybe Baylor too. I'd be pleased with 9 wins out of that group.

We won't sweep Baylor. I think they could be decent in 2 months.
Right now Id say the top 6 teams are
Kansas
OK State
ISU
Baylor
OU
Texas

I find it very hard to believe Texas is in the top 6. They should be a terrible team. They lost everyone from last year and were not any good last season.

If Texas is in the top 6 then Tech, TCU, KSU and WVU are really bad.

WVU lost to a VT team that lost to SCUS...
TCU and K State have losing records thus far
Maybe Tech is better than them but its hard to judge

Maybe you are correct but that will mean the bottom half of the conference is pretty bad. Texas just shouldn't be very good. They lost Kabongo, Lewis, McClellan, Bond and Papapetrou from a team that wasn't good last year. They posted a losing record in Big XII play.

Basically they returned Felix, Holmes, Holland, Lambert, Ridley and Ibeh. Felix is the only guy that played starter minutes averaging 29 per game. Ibeh only averaged 9.7 minutes per game. The others had pretty respectable playing time in the 17-21 minute range. Those guys combined to average 28.1 ppg. They might be descent on the boards because Holmes, Lamber, and Ridley all had fairly solid rebounding numbers for the minutes played.

I suspect Texas is actually learning to practice. That may sound crazy but they are so young the coaches are likely struggling to run a good practice. If Barnes posts a .500 record in Big XII play he did a great job, possibly even Big XII coach of the year level (but he won't get it with a .500 record).

I've watched two games this year for KSU. They really miss the little PG from last year. Their offense has no rhythm this year.

They are supposed to get a couple of big guys eligible at the semester break, but I don't know what type of effect that will have on their improvement (i.e. I don't how good they are).

I'm still surprised how bad they are.
