Rivals database only goes back to 2002, but I clicked through the years and the 7 man class we have this year is the largest since then. Previous high was 6.

No idea if that's good or bad, or irrelevant, but interesting.

if they all stay here 4 years, at the end of that time we may all be wishing the class wasn't this big. That's a lot to replace.

With the transfer portal though it may end up not being a big deal. Time will tell.

Harmon/Hill/Iwuakor are 4 year players.
Garang/Issanza likely 5 year.
Merritt 3.
Williams only 2.

Only bad if there are Nick Thompson/Lazenby level players in the mix.

I’d be shocked if 2 of them aren’t gone by the time they graduate. Also I bet 1-2 redshirt, Merritt is a sophomore, & Williams a junior. It’s not like they will graduate at the same time.

Well, the best OU class EVER (production, not ranking) was the class of 1983. That also had 7 players.

Tim McCallister - 4 year starter...top 10 all-time scorer
Darryl Kennedy - 4 year starter...top 10 all-time scorer
David Johnson - 4 year starter
Dave Sieger - starter on OU's best team ever
Chuck Watson - 4 year role player

Mark Wade - we go to the Final Four in 1985 had he stayed - pure pass-first PG who started on UNLV's 1987 Final Four team.
Joe Seager - drank a cup of coffee along with Wade.

If this class is even remotely that good, we have a great foreseeable future!

Needed more guards. We will need to do some processing at some point.

Yes I’m sure Polla is gone. So you’ll lose 2 bigs & you can replace them with 2 guards. But really OU only needs 1 more guard and that’s just for depth & all the guards have at least 2 more years.

Joe Seager came to the scorer's bench late in a game during mop-up duty and had his jersey on backwards. Classic!

So Douggie was trying to copy a sooner when he wore his shorts backwards? Should have know, osu always trying to copy people

To be more accurate, Douggie "STOLE" the idea (if you catch my drift).:D
