He shouldn't burn bridges like that. They'll need all of the media exposure they can get when they're fighting it out in C-USA.

He's definitely had a rough few months. Self said tonight he's been talking about retiring for over a year now. I think all the crap he's had to put up with as of late he just said let's go ahead and do it. Can't blame him...he's put in more than his time.
 
And if you look too weak/sickly in Kansas, Mangino will just go ahead and eat you.

Mangino doesn't live in Kansas anymore and is old news.
Pretty weak attempt at humor with that one. You can do better.

Cheno since you seem to have issues with the majority of this board (envious Sooner fans who only think about football) why are you still hanging around here?

The Phog was in a massive meltdown earlier today, (before the eloquent speaking Bill Self saved the day) why weren't you doing damage control among your own?

I don't have much sympathy for someone who self inflicted what he's "had to put up with".

Because I love talking OU and Big 12 hoops that's why. I find it hilarious all the KU threads, KU being in all the polls, snide comments the last few days. It's going to be doubly hilarious when KU turns out fine and in a major conference. There has been more threads about KU then there have about OU basketballs future in whatever new conference. Truly, I wish that wasn't the case. I wish people were talking about OU hoops more and their future.
I gotta admit though...it's been fun the last few days. It's really going to be fun when all this shakes out.

Exactly, Bill Self saved the day with common sense. What I've been preaching as well. I've checked out the Phog a ton. Don't post much because it's just too big for my liking. When you have 3,000 people on at the same time things get lost and there are no good discussions. I love this board because there are few posters and you build relationships and discussions.
