Now THAT is the LN I remember from the glory days. Chanting defense, profusely booing refs, left-right when fouling out. LOUD eruptions. I guess it's the students that make the difference? Anyway sounded GREAT on TV.

Who said we cant fill it up and be loud?

Agree 100%! That took me back to the late 90's and early 00's when i was a student....games got loud back then. Last night was up there and was so fun!

Late 80's to early 90's was the BEST time for OU b-ball to me!!! Great teams, great crowds and the talent was amazing!!!

Last night was great too though!!

We need to accept reality top daug isn't coming back. Joe C and athletic department has invested too much money making Boomer and Sooner the OU Icon regardless how much OU fans dislike them despite the present version being better than the original. It is what it is.

The timeouts where they decide to just blast music over the PA, instead of letting the band play, is annoying to me. Maybe I'm getting too old and crotchety though.

Couldn't agree more. There was one timeout at a crucial point where they blared the music and had the PA guy implore the fans to "make some noise" . . . not for the game, but for whatever promotion they were running. I know you have to do some of that stuff to pay the bills and attract certain fans, but with ten minutes left in a huge game, maybe let the band play and let the game be the primary focus.

We had some great crowds at Lloyd Noble back in the late 60s! :)
