Out of all the five-stars in the 2021 class, I’d say that Manny Obaseki has a chance at being one of the most underrated ones. When I say that, people usually say “How is a five-star underrated,” my answer is usually about how a guy that’s ranked in the Top-30 barely a national priority.
Regardless, Obaseki is prioritized by many in his region and is set to take an official visit to Oklahoma this weekend. He also said he wants and will take an official visit to Texas A&M and then plan more beyond those two.
He broke down some schools involved with Stockrisers.com
Texas A&M: “Pretty much the whole coaching staff have seen me and are very high on me, it’s been that way since the beginning. I have great relationships with coach buzz, coach lyle, coach jamie, and coach johnson. They’re heading in the right direction and now that they got my close friend Jax [Robinson] to start 2021, the future is bright.”
Oklahoma: “They’ve been one of the hardest working teams as well that’s been recruiting me. One of the first teams to reach out and offer me. I have a very tight relationship with coach hartman and coach kruger. They’ve always told me that I can be the main man and take over that program and I’m excited to go back.”
Alabama: “They came in around Late-September and I have a good relationship with coaches Bryan Hodgson and Nate Oats. They have been staying in contact with me and are in a real need of a guard. They believe I fit that role.”
Texas: “During the season, coach smart has been checking on me to make sure im just getting better which means alot to me. Coach berry as well has been hitting me and talking visits and stuff like that and i’m excited to see what they got for me.”
Texas Tech: “Coach Ulric and I already have a close relationship and i’m a major fan of coach beard who i’ve only met once and just that program itself is amazing. They talked to me about what I can turn to with the advanced development they have and teaching and just becoming a better person overall.”
