Figured we'd start another thread with this info instead of burying it in the other ones.

@GabeDeArmond appears to be someone worth following on Twitter for Porter updates. He's the Mizzou Rivals guy.

I read his quote and lost my breath. That would kick so many kinds of a$$.

I'm going to tell my wife to put 9-1-1 on speed dial and keep her finger on the button. If the Porters announce for OU, I may need it!

USA Today article

He lists Washington, Missouri, OU, and Virginia. Says he could open it up more after he gets released.

For OU

“They’ve got Trae (Young) and before any commitments happened we talked about being college teammates. Now that opportunity is back and I know we’d do our thing and do something special.”

Main takeaway from today, he doesn't want this to drag out terribly long. Look for him to commit in the next 2 weeks. Likely Mizzou

Someone needs to fill Mr. Porter in on the Ben Simmons story. If you're going to play at the collegiate level for just a season or two, you might as well pick a school that has some talented players on its roster.

And on the downside Simmons still went #1. I think we're getting our hopes up for nothing at his point.

100% true.

Like Trae Young, I expect porter to stay home. Momma gets what momma wants. The Miz writers have been spot on about them being homesick.

Soon as released he will visit.

OU is not recruiting Trae. No OU assistant was at the Stillwater game. The one OU assistant that is there is there only as a father.

OU has turned there instate sights toward Keyshawn Embery at Midwest City. They would love to offer him but Tree's ego to not play with any instate players has them handcuffed.

Easy.... Slow down.

My point wasn't that he won't get drafted high if he plays at Mizzou -- I'm fully aware that Simmons went #1 at LSU. But if you're going to play a year or two in college, why not enjoy the experience to the fullest? Why not go to a school where you can have an instant impact but you are still in a position to have some success, where you can play in the tourney and maybe even make it to the later rounds?

We won 11 games this year
