Moore

He’s not in the top 100 prospects and only 60 guys get drafted, so he would have to do something pretty crazy over the next three months.
Not a basketball expert, what is the issue with him. He seems tall enough, obviously more than athletic? Is it his shooting or something?

Moore hasn’t yet elevated his game this season like I had hoped. He’s got talent, but he sometimes disappears in games for blocks of time. Hoping he catches fire in the second half of the season.

At his height, the only position he could play in the NBA would be on the wing. He doesn’t have nearly the shot for that at this point, or the ball handling skills. His age works against him when teams look at whether he would be able to improve those skills significantly going forward.

Who else on here was old enough to remember Aaron McGhee from the 2002 Final Four team? He wasn't good enough to be drafted. I don't pretend to know as much about NBA bodies as others here, so I'll just ask this. Since neither would project as an inside player in the NBA, what does Moore have that McGhee did not?

I don't remember Mcghee being near as athletic as Moore. Different body frames from what I remember but that was half a lifetime ago.

Also, the NBA game has changed a lot since then as well so comparing draft prospectus from 2 decades ago isn't really useful

Moore is a much better athlete but not nearly as skilled or good a college player, and they play different positions.

McGee was more post up game the athleticism. Bigger body and had a nice post move fadeaway shot. I would compare Moore to ozby. Games he took over where others he looked like just a guy. Great athlete.

Thanks for the responses...I figured they would have both projected as a "3" in the NBA hence the comparison. I get it that it's hard to compare different eras, but at the end of the day, you still have to be able to play. Osby was mentioned and he was actually drafted. I should have used him as a comparison.

We haven't had many "3" players in the NBA. Harvey Grant stands out as the best of them, but even I know there is no comparison of him to Moore.
