Felt like I was in my high school Oklahoma History class listening to Dougie today

"If my Oklahoma State math is right, that's eight straight points for the Sooners."

It had been 9 in a row. Classic.

I actually appreciated the fact he knew some things. His post game interview with Lon had 4 excellent questions and some comments he made during the game were rather brow-raising ... "He (Thomas) has a little Tisdale in his game too."

His dad just passed away about 2 weeks ago. I like his announcing, and pretty honest on Twitter and radio.

I think he is fair which is most important. He's also arrogant but there are a lot of those in that business.

Tough crowd. I thought he was great.

Quite frankly, I don't get the "Gottleib hate". The guy is a top notch color commentator. But since he went to Oklahoma State, certain folks get their panties in a wad because he is assumed to be automatically biased against OU. I thought he was very fair and complimentary of our squad today.

I think we are very fortunate to have Fran Fraschilla as our main color guy on our ESPN games....I think he is one of, if not the best in college basketball. But Gottleib's knowledge and his opinions are what make him better than average. Count your blessings, we could be stuck with Len Elmore or Clark Kellogg doing a good portion of our games.

I am sorry but if you can't get over the whole OSU thing after so many years then you have serious issues.

Gottleib did a good job, just thought the Oklahoma knowledge was a lil over the top, and I had no idea who his sidekick was and what he brought to the table.

Dougie did a great job as usual, and it's nice when a commentator legitimately knows the teams/state as opposed to learning 1-2 facts and constantly trying to squeeze a narrative into those points. Plus he is smart enough to troll both fan bases with his orange hanky!

Agree. The biggest issue I have with announcers is what you point out. They have a narrative for a game well before it tips. They focus on one player or one match-up and they keep going back to that well even when the game has clearly developed in a different direction.

I like Gottlieb. Didn't hear him Saturday as I was in attendance, but he is good at his job.

That was funny simply because he made a mistake as he mentioned OSU. However, I agree with the majority of fans that like Gottlieb.

I enjoyed Gottlieb's commentary, as usual. I think he's funny. I especially liked the mockery he made of the PC world where Southeastern had to change their name from the Savages to the Savage Storm. I guess Fred Savage was a little thin-skinned during the height of his "Wonder Years" run.

Dougie knows his stuff. I wish he called our games more often.
