Westmoore star Jessi Murcer put on a show as she reached a milestone.

The Oklahoma signee scored 33 points in a 65-44 rout of Broken Arrow to eclipse 2,000 career points. She is also the school’s alltime scoring leader.

Westmoore led 45-17 at halftime. It will play Norman North at 7 p.m. Monday for the regional title.

I was at the game. Jessi had 20 of their first 25 points, all in the first quarter, she had 26 at the half. I left after that. It helped that Broken Arrow was awful, but Murcer moved without the ball really well. She can really fill it up.

Isn't Broken Arrow something like a defending two-time state champ?

Yep, they sure are, but they don't have a kid on their team right now that could play at any level of college ball. That is sad to say about my alma mater.

That was a few years ago when they were recruiting and sometimes playing zero girls that played junior high basketball at BA. Last year and this year they have been awful.
