Hopefully, she plays for more than nine minutes this time. I think we'll be in trouble if she is not there twenty or more.

Mr. Carter: I've never met Gioya, but she strikes me as being a great young lady, in addition to being one of the best basketball players in the Big 12 Conference.

You and your entire family must be very proud of her.

She was too excited the lady time we played Texas. Emotions got the best of her

Yes we are!

Hope she's feeling better and hope you didn't catch whatever she had!

exactly!!

It was pretty obvious she was not feeling well in the last game. Still, what a game. She scored five in the last few minutes of the second half and got a couple of rebounds and a loose ball; then in the first not quite three minutes of the second half scored 9 and gave the coaches the signal to pull her. Think she sat about three and then went back in for the rest of the game, finishing with 22 pts and 9 rebounds. We needed everything she did but have to admit it scares me when people play sick, why I could never be a coach or a parent. Anyway, she is so much fun to watch and so glad that she is playing the way she can this year...good for the team and good for her.

I have always said you can't teach her kind of quickness but unlike others who have to catch up to the Div I game speed she needed to slow down to Div I speed.

Looks like she has learned to do that.

Good luck to her and the rest of your family. You too.
