I understand its the Texas network so I let the bias slid. Now I could never be a color analyst, but the guy on the broadcast would take 1 or 2 positions to get out what he was trying to say. I remember one time he was talking about Texas needing to the ball down low more. OU rebounded a texas shot, went down court and hit a 3. Taxas came down and a foul was called on OU and then they went to timeout with color anyalst still talking. NO mention of the OU points or who the foul was on.

They were a little amateur, but I will say that I didn't think they were too biased towards Texas. I was really expecting it to be all about Texas, but I thought they did a fairly good job at keeping in unbiased.

I've watched the replay a few times. They had their moments when they were pretty biased - at one point laughing about the terrible defense of Oklahoma, consistently getting our players names mixed up, saying Buddy "quietly had 18 points" when he was killing them from downtown, never saying how many fouls any of our players had, etc...

this, the group i was watching with were all joking about how these guys were talking too much about OU and that they would be fired in a day or two

In general, I thought they were very complimentary of OU and their Texas bias was kept to a minimum. The other thing that was really refreshing was to hear a color guy say "that was really bad shot selection" or "really bad defensive series" about his own team. So much of the time, you hear guys sugarcoat it when it comes to criticizing their university and their play. These guys were pretty candid when something was good or bad....for the most part. I may get drilled for this, but I thought they did a good job.

I did too. The older guy did a pretty good job of fair and balanced within the context that he was on the LHN.

Yep. I was a little surprised by that. Color dude was long winded at times. One can elaborate on a point and still finish up in a sentence or two.

I personally think the Network is a turd but it has more to do with the content.

I think Paul Sunderland was the color guy, he used to do some clipper games in the NBA, and west coast college games he is pretty solid....1 big prob with their network it is standard definition for almost everyone, at least OU's fox deal is HD

That's right. It was Sunderland that I thought did a pretty good job.

Yeah, I watched it online and their online feed is crystal clear HD. Probably should've told you guys that during the game, but if we ever have the misfortune of playing on LHN again, you'll have that in your memory bank.

I have the LHN here in DFW on AT&T Uverse. And it was in HD. I didn't know events were still broadcast in standard definition these days.

I had to go to my parents' house to watch the game (I just switched to DirecTV who doesn't have it), but they had it in HD on Verizon FiOS. I also used to have it in HD on Time Warner.

For cox to offer it in HD one would have to pay extra for it. I think cox in okc knows no one would pay extra so it's offered only in standard. Cox's HD choices are poor.
