I watched Wilson play a couple times during the TOC. My take is that she is a good player but not elite. I would certainly take her, if Sherri wanted her. She is a 5'9 or so wing. She is a good athlete, strong and has good ball skills. But, it was hard for me to see her as the 20th best player in America. It was a very small sample, but I won't lose any sleep over whether Sherri wants to sign her and doesn't or doesn't want to sign her.

Caveat: I would trust lots of people's judgment on a girls basketball player's future prospects before mine.

all in all, very good player, but not a game changer in my opinion.

mac and I both reached the same conclusion. She is the hardest worker that I saw on the court last year, but she really needed to be. I think I read that she had twenty-five rebounds in the semi-finals last year against Choctaw. What they didn't say was that two-thirds of those were rebounding her own misses. I see that she is shooting 29% from the field, 1 of 12 from three, for the season, prior to the tournament. She is good as a rebounder against people of guard size.

I think Arkansas was a good choice for her. I see a lot of the same in her as I saw in the Adams girls that transferred from Arkansas to SMU. Probably good fit.

What I noticed about her is that she does a lot of things very well. She can shoot BTA (last year was over 50%), she can shoot the midrange jump shot, and she can defend. She has started off slow this year but, last year she averaged over 19 PPG and more than 9 rebounds per game. She out works most (if not all) the players on the court. She truly has a scorers mentality, something we desperately need. If Arkansas brings in some good players so the defense can't focus on her, I think she will have a nice career for the Hogs.

While she may not be a game changer, she would still help us as we don't have any game changers either.

I have only seen the idea that Wilson was a 50% shooter behind the arc on this board. I saw one thing that had her at about 30%. Prospect Nation said she had a mid-range jumper, but needed to improve her outside shot (three-point?). In the state tournament, she seemed to be OK to about 16 feet. I think she probably hit about one in five that she shot in the two games from behind the arc. I have based my assumptions on the information that she is not a particularly good outside shooter, which corresponds to what I saw, and has a high motor with a mid-range jumper out to about sixteen feet.
