EDIT: I had not read William's recruiting update from yesterday...I guess I should have started with "Per OUHoops.com"

Per Rivals, we offered this kid from Raytown South (KC). Supposedly his sister is an OU grad who now lives in OKC.

He has offers from Baylor, Mizzou, St Johns, UCLA, Va Tech, and W Va.

Here's a link to his Rivals profile (not sure if this is cool to do or not...I'll take it down if I need to)

Victor Williams is his AAU coach, or was last summer anyways.

victor williams is a terrible person for making that shot in 2003

Wainright burst onto the recruiting scene early largely because he was so physically mature for a kid his age. He basically had an NCAA body in 8th grade. His skills haven't developed yet to match his physical ability, and his physical edge is diminishing as others in his class catch up.

Seems like he may be destined to be an undersized 4 in the Marshall Moses type mold.

i dunno, i've heard rosier projections than that for wainright. no doubt he had a physically mature body at a young age, but some people like his skill level too.

mu seemed to be developing the edge for him until anderson left, no idea now. ku is there, ucla has an in, surprisingly, you don't hear much about osu.

Mizzou will be there until the end. I believe both his father and a brother are big Mizzou fans (it wasn't just Anderson).

He's probably more athletic than Moses and will probably end up more skilled, but a lot of people are beginning to think his future is more as an undersized 4 type than a true perimeter player.
