That gives OU some actual front court athletic depth now.

But really a two player class since Penzo is redshirting from her knee injury.

Not a bad recruiting class, and hopefully Sherri has been working the 2016/2017 classes heavily.
 
I like the idea that she is a shot blocker. All of these guards with a dominant center should entertain. I also like the comment that she has off the charts potential. We saw a similar remark about Pierre-Louis.

With 3 young, talented, posts/forwards in the program,
Treece/Pierre-Louis/and Ijoema then add the strong possibility of adding Madison Treece (top 30) in 2017 the interior depth and athleticism is very close to being the best potentially since
CP/AP days. And there's still the 2016 class which could include a post player/big wing hybrid type.
I think Ciera Johnson's mom attended OU so maybe OU has a shot with another talented big
in 2016.

Some folks think I'm too tough on Sherri in recruiting. Well, I'm tough on Bob and Lon on recruiting.

Sherri with the aggressive signing of Mckenna Treece last spring and the focus on adding a big in 2015 has taken great steps to address a recruiting imbalance on the roster.
If Sherri was going to add anyone in 2015, Sherri added exactly the right type of player.
 
Nice pick up! She could be deferent then any post we've had on a few years... Now on to 2016 OU really needs a true power forward and maybe 1 wing...
 
I don't know that we can assign a position to Treece, Pierre-Louis, and Odimgbe. Each has been called a center or power forward. From what I have read, each can play facing the basket or with the back to the basket. All are listed at 6-4, as is Madison Treece whom I have seen listed as much as 6-6. All are rebounders. All have shot-blocking talent, although I think Pierre-Louis and Odimgbe are more inclined to operate in that direction. We MAY be in pretty good position on the interior for the next few years. I still wouldn't mind getting Lauren Cox. From what I saw, Treece and Cox are very similar, although Cox is more aggressive. They look alike when they are playing, both having solid bodies and good feet. Both are very accurate on a short inside bank shot from about six feet, putback country. If Treece develops that aggression, she could be pretty good.

We already have Dungee coming in for 2016, and Llanusa in 2017. Treece in 2017 would be a nice addition. These are people you can build around. The skeleton is in place. We are just adding the rest of the pieces.
 
To me, she has a very similar build to Kaylon when she was in high school. She also has a similar ranking by ESPN to Kaylon and it appears she has very similar stats. I'm just hoping she doesn't foul like Kaylon.
 
According to the reported skills of these bigs, Sherri is recruiting them as athletes then as bigs which I am in favor of.
