I don't even know who we play but it really doesn't matter. Here are the ones I would start:

Griffin
Sharane
Carter
Aaryn
Morgan

My thoughts on each player:

Griffin almost goes out of her way not to get a rebound. Very frustrating! She blocks out but never releases the blockout and just crosses her fingers hoping someone else will get the rebound. If she starts off passively I wouldn't wait long to put Kaylon in.

Sharane is pretty good at driving although she makes too many mistakes. Sometimes she tries to get to the rim when there are defenders in the way. That puts her in a bad situation and at times she takes wild shots. In those cases, I cannot figure out why she doesn't just settle for a 8 foot jump shot. She still puts points on the board and plays good defense most of the time. Needs to make some 3 pointers. Second best scorer on the team.

Carter has the potential to score where Kornet continues to struggle. Yes, she makes freshmen mistakes but she is getting better and with experience could be a nice player in the next 4 or 5 games is Sherri would just put her and leave her. She plays hard.

Aaryn plays well even when she struggles from BTA. She did have too many turnovers today (6) but she also kept us in the game much of the time. We can't survive without her.

Morgan scored some points today and got several assists but her mistakes were really costly. I felt like she let the pressure get to her today.

There was 6 minutes left in the game before Kaylon got her first rebound.
If Nicole Kornet didn't pick up silly fouls, she could be a big contributor-both rebounding and driving to basket.
Keep the SAME starting line-up, get experience for Carter, Edwards, Kellogg, and Williams as subs. Expect Morgan and Aaron to play 35 + minutes in any close game.
Sherri's teams usually start slow, improve team play and crispness (individual and team) as the year progresses. We played a very good and experienced Louisville team to overtime, and will be better than them at the end of this seasonl

Very good.
I think we go with the ones that built the 17-2 lead in the first place: Griffin, Kornet, Campbell, Ellenberg, and Hook. Each has something of value. Kay Kay and Gioya have earned the next slot off the bench. Hopefully, they can learn while on the job. I think we have to look at Edwards, Kellogg, and Wyatt. Edwards is now playing like a freshman. Ouch!! Kellogg was solid off the bench: two made free throws, a rebound, a steal, a couple of good blockouts. He did more in a couple of minutes than Portia has done in two games. We have to get a look at them. We also need to see what Derica can do. We may need a shooter yet. I'd rather see Gibbs get some time on the court than Portia. I don't think it is that Portia is slow. I just think she watches.

A couple of thoughts regarding the above:

Campbell's 3 point shooting is starting just like last year, her shot mechanics are off and she is shooting the 3 too flat. Hopefully like last year she will correct the mechanics problem and become a good 3 point shooter for conference and the tourney. Her game on driving, getting fouls and making contested 2s has gone to another level this year...she looks like she could easily average 15-17 pts per game.

Kornet also started last year in a bad 3 point shooting slump...so hopefully that will also correct itself as the season goes on.

I think Hook's 3 point slump may just be due to the brace on her thumb...get that off and I am optimistic she will revert back to being a solid outside shot.

As I said in the game thread...really impressed with Carter...I think her athletic ability and strength will allow her to be a star...she reminds me of Sharane with a more repeatable consistent outside shot stroke and better passing ability.

I would start

Morgan: she made her mental mistakes today but we need her out there

Aryan: do discussion needed

Sharane: She make plays on both ends. Needs to stop getting into foul trouble she to important to be on the bench

Kaylon: I went back and forth to be between her Nicole and Cater but i think her rebounding win out for me

Nicole G: I know a lot of people don't like her and Kaylon playing together but they really really well together against Gonzaga

Nicole G. tries hard, improves and when the situation is just right is a significant contributor but she isnt athletic, has alligator arms, terrible hands and can only occasionally block out and rebound, especially against even moderate competition. But I'm satisfied that she works and tries within her limits. KayKay must learn not to foul so much. She is a much better rebounder and scorer than Nicole.

I can't explain Kaylon's propensity to foul. She will not be able to stay in games long until she learns to stop reaching and slapping. Even after picking up a third or fourth foul doesn't seem to slow her down. We need her badly but she has got to change her ways.

If Kaylon can smooth out her game and minimize her fouls she can be a beast and starter.

I would be pleased with an 11-2 record going into Big 12 play. We have a nice non conference sked with a mix of toughies and cupcakes. I think Louisville and Gonzaga will be as tough as any league foe. I hope that is the case, anyway.

I would start Kaylon because she needs the time on the court to learn what she must do. I think that all she needs is experience.
