In these long days before WBB kicks off, some may find this worth reading.

SIAP, but Nicole has started blogging in LA, and her first two posts are are all about her OU recruitment followed by why she decided to leave Norman.
No sour grapes here, more like an honest, soulful journey from elite prospect with high hopes to truly wanting to attend Stanford to trying to emerge from Whitney's shadow (at Legacy and OU) to describing what it's like to be a freshman athlete. She's very complimentary of Sherri.
Not sure what (or if) people think about Nicole now, but IMO, she issues some pretty clear-eyed advice to all recruits.

Thanks for sharing this. Hope nothing but the best for her. Was one of my favorites to play at OU.

Very glad she's happy. This explains her decline her junior year, hard to play well when you're unhappy. i hope she has a great year as a Bruin. Having attended both OU and UCLA, one could hardly find two more dissimilar environments. I loved my time at both schools. UCLA and Westwood have lost much of their charm due to the massive growth in the school and housing in the nearby surroundings. Gone are the two story 8 unit apartments I lived in, replaced by 10 story 100 unit apartment complexes. Live farther away and the commute can be horrendous. But it is still LA, with great weather and it is the celebrity center of the Universe.

I think she is going to have a VERY good senior year at UCLA. Looking at stats and highlights of the Bruins' summer trip to Australia, she looked dominant.

I like Kornet. She did say she was never 100% invested into OU. I wish she would have transferred after her freshman year. OU was limited in scholarships. They might have been able to get a player that would have helped win more games.

I was sad to see her leave. Always liked her game. Wish her nothing but the best. Thanks for posting.
