Down to standford, Georgia and memphis will announce the 16th, day before his school starts.

This isn't really any kind of surprise is it?? Haven't we been off his list for a while now??

To me it is problem for OU, Tulsa and OSU when a playe of this caliber does not have any state school in his top 3. Obviously, I want that school to be OU but more importantly I want to see the local kids seriously considering the local schools.

Some kids just want to leave the state. You can't blame them. It's very rare that a kid has 0 interest in his in state schools. This is just one of those rare times.

Why? You don't know the circumstances.

I don't think he can play at TU given that they just hired his HS coach, to a non-recruiting position. There has been some back and forth on this, but I don't think he'd have already eliminated TU, a school that his brother played at, and where his dad teaches, and now his old HS coach is employed, IF they were an option.

I didn't hear much about OSU recruiting him. Maybe they did, and I missed it.

As for OU, I'm not sure why he isn't/wasn't more interested. Maybe we slow played him. Maybe he didn't want to play with Clark/Woodard. Maybe he sees that we have other big guards on our roster, and he wants more immediate playing time. Maybe he just didn't "feel" HC Lon Kruger.

I get the impression that it was a mutual split......he hasn't played well.

And that kind of brings up a good point, if he is such a good player, and we (OU) should feel bad about losing him, why isn't he getting better offers?

From the mouth of an OU assistant coach, OU was not offering him a scholarship. They were worried about his impact when he isn't the best athlete on the floor an have a size advantage on his opponent.

This information came to about a week before Juwan starting listing schools without OU in there.

That might be why.
