On Friday, the Crosstown Clash returns at Norman High and if the North girls (15-/) can even the season season series, they’ll be steamrolling into the postseason.
Tuesday’s victory over No. 12 Edmond North (14-8) came four days after upsetting No. 7 Edmond Memorial away from home.
“Our seniors, all four of them, really set the tone for everybody,’’ North coach Ron/ Hamilton said.
The senior night quartet included Alexis Deisering, Lindsey Waters, Chloe Jones and Keely Chapman. What they began turned into “as good a first half as we’ve played all season,” said Hamilton.
That led to a 27-18 intermission edge Edmond North cut to a basket late in the fourth quarter, yet that was zenith of the Huskies’ rally.
Jacie Evans led North with 14 points. Waters added 13 and Jessika Evans 9.
