Notre Dame just took down UConn....

Not especially a UConn fan but I hate to see those Irish humps win at anything - especially that coach.

I thought once into OT UConn would win. Not sure why he didn't play the big girl. She got him there. Or at least to win the jump. Props to ND.

I guess the next thing we will hear from some of our posters here is that Geno is way over paid. :ez-roll:

Geno has been at UConn for 33 years, has won 11 national championships and been to the final four an additional 8 times. If Sherri was winning at a quarter of that we would all be happy, but that isn't happening, far from it for the last many years.

I'd be happy if she had one NC.

Why would anyone make that assumption? UCONN has been wildly successful. OU hasn't been anywhere close to as successful. Don't confuse legitimate arguments with hyperbole.

Euph,

There has been nothing logical about the rants about SC being paid too much. All coaches, staff, and certainly professional sports personnel are paid way too much.

It is a problem with society and the way it creates false values and goals.

Naw..If you compare his salary to some other coaches that has done far far less, I would have to say he is under-paid. Off hand I can't name any high paid coach that has done far far less..oh wait do you really want me to name one?

A Final Four, an Elite Eight and a Sweet 16 a decade would probably thrill the OU WBB fan base.

No need. We all know you are thinking about Mulkey. Year after year she loses in the important tournament games - even with what the same posters claim are the best players in the country. Clearly over paid.

Mulkey does have some good ones coming in. If she can't win with them, she is overrated. I thought rather highly of Egbo in the McDonald's game. Another Baylor recruit also showed something. UConn had two good ones.

Frankly, there were some kids who were so out of control that I don't know what they can do.

I have no recollection of any poster on this board stating the Baylor had the best players in the country. Virtually everyone concedes that is UConn but even Geno doesn't win them all (6 in the last 13 years) like some here set the standard for Kim. But aside from Geno only Pat and Kim have won 2 since 2005.

Not one to 2nd guess Geno as he has me in NC 11-0 but....

Am I the only one wondering why he stuck with Katy Lou? By my recolection she didn't get off a shot in at least the last five minutes as well as the OT - unless you count that last one. And, with her having four fouls the entire time, ND pretty much scored every time they went at her. Just wondering.

I, for one, am tired of just getting there.

Because Connecticut has absolutely no depth. Which is strange to me because they get the best recruits year in and year out. Geno, year after year, does not go deep into his bench. I think he went 6 deep consistently, sometimes 7 if he used Walker. He probably felt as though he had no other options, which is sad because even has Benchwarmers would probably be studs on any other team.

He could have gone with 5, 11, 15, 23, and 24. 23 was the reason they were doing so well. I felt where it was really hurting them was on defense.

What is the amount she is paid?
