Yeah. I'm old school too. I remember the good ol' days of basketball; back when slam dunks didn't allow a player to showboat, there was no fancy three point line, players wore the shortest of shorts, and women wouldn't be allowed a scholarship for pursuing such nonsense. Ah, classic no nonsense old school basketball.

I truly believe that, should OU fail to get Young, Kruger needs to have his job security re-evaluated! This season is what I feared (and got ripped for on this board). OU does not have the talent to keep up, and I believe Kruger is primarily responsible for that (bad hires didn't help his case). You see teams lose players EVERY year, and still are able to be successful. If there was even hope for OU, this wouldn't be a dead season. But OU has no hope on the horizon (with Young most likely not coming here).

Just my opinion!

Not the whole future, but it would be a harbinger of things to come, in my opinion. I think Kruger got lightning in a bottle with Hield. There's a reason he never stayed anywhere for a long time.

I don't think Kruger is known for a recruiter or even a great X & O guy, but will do things the right way and stay out of trouble, and get his team in the dance more times than not. If just depends on what you looking for..if it's a good chance at a NC then you need to look for someone else..imo

Every athletic department with the revenue of ou's is trying to win national titles in every revenue sport. Kruger gave us a shot at the natty last season. We were every bit as good as nova, they just won the game that mattered.

This season has been a dumpster fire but I believe Kruger can get us there again.

Kruger is a good coach, maybe not a great coach but a very good coach. After the Capel disaster we needed a coach who could get the program on solid footing and make us a competitive program. His teams advanced to 4 straight NCAA tourneys with a sweet 16 and a final 4. Considering the dumpster fire he inherited, that's pretty good. This season has been a huge disaster for sure, but if Woodard had been healthy all of those games, I'm thinking we probably win 3 of them -- maybe 4. The key is next year will be a much better team with a ton of returning talent regardless of whether Young decides to play at OU or not. He's a one-and-done anyway so if he doesn't come to OU it's not the end of the world.

Yea, let's fire the coach 8 months removed from the final four. I would add more but the board has rules.
