Osby Update

For those of you not following, Osby has looked pretty good so far in the NBA preseason games.

His number so far have been:

@Dal 17 Minutes, 8 points, 6 rebounds, 1 stl, 4-6 shooting
Cle 13 Minutes, 4 points, 2 Rebounds, 2-2 shooting
@Hou 15 Minutes, 10 points, 3 Rebounds, 3-5 shooting, 1 3ptr
NO 10 Minutes, 3 points, 4 rebounds, 1-5 shooting

It looks to me like he has only had one bad game. We'll see how things shake out, but he might be a rotational player for Orlando this season. If he manages to stick around a play a few minutes, I'd bet he ends up being the kind of player coaches try to keep on their roster. For a guy who I was worried might not get a contract, he sure seems to be making the most of his opportunity.

Thanks for the update! When it comes to guys who aren't drafted in the first round, it's usually 50-50 whether that player lasts in the NBA beyond a year or two. Recently, we saw Willie Warren and Taylor Griffin only play one year in the NBA. Tiny Gallon never made it. Of course, OU also produced Eduardo Najera, Brent Price, Anthony Bowie, Gar Heard and Clifford Ray. Those 5 combined to play about 50 years in the NBA. I know we're all rooting for Ro' to have a career much like those five.
