I thought did a fantastic job on Lace Dunn and dished out 6 assists today. Baylor really keyed on him on the offensive end but he stayed patient and made his shots as they came to him.

A nice day at the office for Bird.

He never tried to force anything, which takes a lot of maturity.

Saw it referenced in the Iowa State game....but why is his nickname Bird? Help a n00b out...

Thought Pledger played solid. His shot wasn't falling like it can, so he found other ways to contribute. I love when players do that.

He also didn't let his early misses affect his defense (which is critical).

He got the name bird because of his ability to hit shots from all over the court and do it with a sweet stroke (ala Larry Legend).

im not a big fan of the bird nickname... pledgehammer is way better

How about playing Peter Gabriel's "Sledgehammer" every-time he makes a jumpshot. :ez-laugh:
