He also didn't let his early misses affect his defense (which is critical).
He got the name bird because of his ability to hit shots from all over the court and do it with a sweet stroke (ala Larry Legend).

I can make bird calls in the student section, but I feel like I'd get a hammer taken away. Pledgehammer is great though.
