Predict the final 6 games.

Nebraska has not won a conference road game since the 2008-2009 season. But, of course, a few our resident geniuses think they'll come to Norman and win. :facepalm

I think 2-4 is probably the most reasoable. Wins over OSU and Nebraska.

Tech is a winnable game as well. I think A&M is the next most winnable game.

KU and KSU are terrible matchups for us.

I need you to call my wife and let her know you think I'm a genius. :woot

I'm going with 2-4 as well. I think we'll win our home games against OSU and Nebraska, with a win on the road in Lubbock a possiblity. I just don't believe OU has the horses to beat KU or to win the two toughest road games. A record of 3-3 would be quite an accomplishment for this team.

I'm gonna say 1-5 (not even sure who the 1 will be). I just don't have a good feeling about these last few games. The guys looked a little beat down this weekend. Looked like the losing is getting to them.

I agree. But I think that had a lot to do with Missouri's pressure. It took the life out of us, I think we'll bounce back.

I'm not sure. That was a pretty low-scoring game. But, you may be right.

This isn't an argument for, or against your thought, but if we finish 1-5 down the stretch I think it negates the strides we made during our four game winning streak.

I won't totally disagree with you, but I will remind you that I'm sure we ALL would have been excited about 4 wins at the beginning of the season. You point is, however, well made.

Not for me, and I was one who thought we would win 1 conference game but couldn't pick who it would be.

I think if they beat OSU in the finale, a lot of people will see that as a positive.

I suppose depending upon your level of expectations everyone could see it differently.

I thought 3-5 was a good number. Given the preceedings, I would find it extremely disappointing if we didn't get to 6 wins.

Your expectations were/are way too high. anytime you have 7/8 new guys and a lot of them are freshmen, you are going to have a tough year.

So we shouldn't expect to beat OSU and Nebraska at home???

I wouldn't say that, but I would say I didn't expect to win AT Iowa State. To me, that game with a loss to Nebraska equals a net zero. I'm OK with that as, again, I only expected to win 1 conference game.

If I was forced to choose, if we lose to Nebraska, I would probably admit I was more happy with the win at ISU than the loss at home to Nebraska. The reason is (a) a road win in this conference is never easy, (b) Nebraska is no longer on our schedule so them being better than us means nothing for next year whereas ISU is still in the conference and that is one team I know we will be better than next year based on our win in Ames, (c)Nebraska plays stout defense so I expect to lose this game.

i didn't say that. but I took it that you were guessing we would win 6 games this year before the conference play started.

Go back and read my entire post. Especially the part I say this: "I thought 3-5 was a good number." In reference to the number of conference victories I thought we would get before Big 12 play began.

Losing at home to a team that's lost 15 consecutive road conference games would be pathetic. End of story for me.

and you follow it up with

"Given the preceedings, I would find it extremely disappointing if we didn't get to 6 wins. "

I don't see how you could be extremely disappointed if we didn't get 6 wins when you were expecting 3-5 wins to begin with.

Because we've already won four games with two more extremely winnable games remaining. Why is that hard to understand?

so basically you are saying that by not winning two more games, you would be more dissappointed than you were happy when we beat two teams we weren't suppose to?

I completely understand what you are saying, I just don't agree with it. IMO, if you are expecting 3-5 wins and we get 4 or 5 wins, than that is meeting your expectations. Not sure how that can be extremely dissapointing.

6 wins on this season is actually pretty good. 7 or 8 would be outstanding. I honestly believed this OU team could lose every game. CU has better guards. Tech returned more experience and may have better guards. ISU was on the road. How OU beat Baylor, I have no clue. The two best players in that game both played for Baylor (P. Jones and Lace Dunn) plus Acey and Anthony Jones for size.

I do not believe it is fair to change your expectations because OU won some games. My hopes changed but not my expectations.

I really want OU to focus on finishing ahead of OSU in conference play. That is still very possible. If Baylor and A&M win in Stoolwater and OU beats OSU in Norman I think it will happen.

Wins against Nebraska and OSU in Norman...2-4.

This

6-10. 8th-9th place.

Better in total wins and conference standings than most of us on this board and nationally expected with the roster we have
