With OU looking to add another point guard to the roster Ryan Boatright's name has shot up to the top of the target list for 2011.

Boatright is known for having committed to USC as an 8th grader and decommitting from USC shortly after Tim Floyd left. He recently committed to West Virginia in October of this year but decommitted shortly after fellow 2011 point guard Jabarie Hinds committed to WVU as well.

Now he has a three of UCONN, UNLV and OU. He recently visited UCONN (October 29) and has plans to visit UNLV and OU as well before making his college decision.

Story by William Jennings.

I certainly hope we can get a commit/decommit from him, too!

Seems just like the point guard we were in on that went to KU. It's going to be hard pressed to find a pg that is as physically ready as Newell. This guy looks a bit on the small side.

My thoughts are GO GET HENRY!!!

You think Henry could play the 4?

To be honest, it's really my personal feelings about the son of an ex Sooner. I don't think he can provide the rebounding we need, but he would be a pretty decent point forward at the high post. OU really needs a back to the bucket type guy.

We will know a lot more about Ryan's recruiting after this weekend. If he does go to UNLV as anticipated, it gives OU more of a shot. If Coach Capel can get him to Norman, then maybe OU finds a way to sneak into the picture more.

Not sure what to think of this guy. Seems kind of shady to me.

Sounds like he doesn't want to compete for a starting job...

Kids are smart these days. They know the best way to get on the floor. They look at rosters and the ability of incoming players. If you know that Jabarie Hinds has the same skillset as you, why go and split time with him. Sounds like he wants to play early. If that's the case, OU might be a good option.
