1. Kaylon probably playing center at the highest level since CP was making
double/double a nightly occurrence. Just super impressive inside.

2. Peyton Little was force on defense. And her crossover layup had the bench going crazy. Also starting to take more mid range jumpers that are there.

3. Gioya. Wow. Just bombing from 3. She's gone from questionable starter to All Big 12 player. Have not seen that kind of perimeter game from her. If she can hit from 3 and penetrate with that quick first step.

4. Ortiz was doing a great job running the squad. Also, her outside shot is starting to fall. It's seems to be clicking for Gabbi.
Also liked that Sherri pulled her for Ton'a after a really bad quick 3 by Ortiz.

5. Manning did a nice job helping Ortiz run the squad in the half court. Still playing a bit out of control. But the rust is shaking off bit by bit.

6. Vivi is playing very well at backup center. I"m starting to wonder next year if perhaps Sherri could go twin towers at times.

7. It's tough finding minutes for Kornet, and Lanesia right now.

Good stuff.

In the past six games, Gioya is the best pure shooter that I can remember at OU. She also is pretty good as a distributor. But, she has a confidence and a motion that I have not seen. I don't think she remembers that she wasn't always this good.

I watched Peyton and Maddie on defense a lot the second time I watched the TCU game. They seem to be everywhere, and their hands are everywhere, often not mentioned. Maddie's long arms saved a couple of bad passes to her from being turnovers. They seem to understand that their hands can be a distraction. Maddie altered more than one shot in addition to blocking one or two. The shorter guards don't like shooting over her.

Vivi doesn't seem to waste motion. Do what you are supposed to do with minimal movement.

I was concerned earlier that Gabbi had some tendencies that were a problem. She has corrected all of those problems already.

How many deflections do Maddie, Gabbi, and Peyton cause?

I don't even recognize this version of Kay Kay. When did Sherri let her out of the box? This was the smartest game I have seen her play. But, TCU didn't have anyone over 5-11 on her. On the restaurant show, Sherri said that Kay Kay has a "Grandma_______routine that entertains everyone," or something like that. I'd like to see that.

They work together well. These seven (with Sharane) are a set waiting for T'Ona, LaNesia, Korny, and McKenna to slow down a bit.

Observations: Kay Kay is gonna be our beast in the paint. ViVi is a star in the making. Maddie reminds me so much of Stacey Dales in the way she moves, shoots and defends. She is like a clone.
