Last year, I was introduced to a rankings website for a guy who had developed his own calculation. It was an extensive website similar to Ken Pom before it went behind a pay wall. The website was the guy's name but I can't remember what it was.

Any guesses on the website that I am thinking of?

We're a 7 seed on Torvik, ranked #24 (and a 6 seed) on Team Rankings, and #25 on Massey. Not bad.

Yes, neutral court wins and road wins against "decent to good" competition in non-conference are like manna from heaven when it comes to making/seeding in the tournament.

Absolutely. Another key -- when you play teams from lower ranked conferences, play the top teams from those leagues. OU and KU do a great job of that. Under Lon, we rarely play truly awful teams. Maryland Eastern Shore will be a glaring exception, but hopefully teams like UTSA and William and Mary will have good seasons in their conferences to boost our ratings.

UTSA isn't off to the best start....

0-4 with losses to:

OU, Southern Illinois, Oakland and Delaware
