Popping up everywhere. Rumor is there is an investigative SI piece on the way

That's funny since everyone obviously knows Auburns National Title season will be vacated. I guess it may have never really mattered who won the title game.

Football. I have been doing some deep, deep dumpster diving today and it involves a street agent named Baron Cortez Flenory Jr.

That's the gist of it from what I've heard. There's another "street agent" as well that's been involved in helping them get all those kids from Texas. Not sure if he'll be named or not in that story, but I've herd Flenory is definitely involed. He used to work for Scout.com, FWIW.

Is the NCAA actively investigating this or are we assuming the SI story will prompt the NCAA to get involved? My fingers are crossed.

I think it's something that's going to prompt the NCAA to get involved. Just stuff exposing some of these street agents and the schools they deal with. I'm pretty sure OU has steered clear of this, at least in the case of Will Lyles and Flenory.

A lot of national writer types are apparently working on this, and I'm pretty sure there's going to be multiple stories on this subject here over the summer by the various national sites.

There's a lot of chatter going around about what actually is coming out tomorrow though. Some think it could be about the agent stuff, and some think it could be about the "arrest epidimic" in college football with possibly some damning stuff on that subject that hasn't been out there.

We'll see.

I had always heard Juvenille Records were sealed. I guess 'sealed' doesn't mean what I thought it did.

Good to see OU has 9 guys with police records...just enough not to be too controversial but yet keep some of the edge.

Good job Bobby.

Rumors are swirling in Texas that while most of the information will be directed at Oregon, OSU, Baylor, TCU and TT may also be implicated to a lesser extent through their contacts with street agent Will Lyles.

Some football coaches, and those involved in HS sports, in Texas that I know are saying that these street agents are out of control, but OU and UT are actually really good about steering clear- see OU and Anthony Wallace this year.

I demand more...we need to be competing for National Championships in the fall and the Fulmer Cup in the Spring.

Great stuff!

I'm moving to Oregon now.
NCAA officials are examining whether a Texas man helped steer high school football prospects to defending Pac-10 champion Oregon, and Ducks officials on Thursday told ESPN.com that the school paid the man $25,000 in the spring of 2010 for recruiting services.

anyone else scared to death that we might face something down the road with these rouge agents. The NCAA and NFL really need to do something to punish them for messing with these kids like they do
