It's cheaper to be successful in softball.

Patty built a program people want to support. She was rewarded first with 7 national championships, then a new facility. The program still loses money, but they've attracted enough donor support to get what they need. But, they had to earn it.

Hard to earn it in CBB with NIL now man. You gotta pay to get the players and the coaches. Softball sucks so I get it.

I think Uzan is gone and I wouldn’t be surprised if Northweather and Oweh leave as well

Oweh looked like he didn’t give two $hits the last 10 or so games… just my opinion gauged by what I saw on the court… more facial and body language when they showed him

No. Figure out who’s leaving and start focusing on filling spots with the portal. The NIT does nothing and could only hurt us more if we lay an egg there

I know there's a lot of pessimism because of this but next years team has a real legit shot at being a top 10-15 team with a couple more pieces. I wouldn't have said near that same thing coming into this year even with the hot start. Big 12 play was just gonna be too tough. 8-9 wins should have put them in the tournament.

This is the worst case scenario.

1) Porter wanted the DePaul job but didn't take it. He's probably kicking himself for it.
2) Retention and recruiting are going to be doubly hard this off-season.
3) The fans, a hard sell in a normal environment, are going to have an even harder time buying into the program in Moser's fourth year with no success to show for it. The NCAA tournament is a minimum standard for Oklahoma.
4) As curious as fans are about the SEC in football, that does not apply to basketball. Our folks will get up for Kentucky or Arkansas, but there are other very good programs in that league that don't move the needle for our fans.

Joe C. needs to find the $6M, buy Porter out, and put him out of his misery. He can get a gig in TV for a year or so before he finds his next coaching job.

I just feel gross right now. This should not be acceptable. Regardless of what’s going on with Moser in the future, something needs to change around the basketball program. It’s been horribly mismanaged and malnourished for a while

One of my Donor buddies said he's probably staying and Joe C is "happy" with the progress this year. LOL. It would not shock me if that's true.
