Anyone that could pull that dunk off (pretty much anyone with over a 35 inch vert) doesnt think it was very impressive...
Really the only impressive dunk he did was the off the glass elbow dunk...
The rest were ok, but lost a lot of luster after missing the first few...
If he had completed the first dunk on the first try it would have been outstanding, but he toned it down severely on the one he made...
The off the glass as well, if BD could throw a proper oop of the glass i think he could have got it, but the one he completed wasnt that spectacular...
Still would have put him and Derozen in the finals though...
I know Mcgee's dunks were never done, but i just dont get excited by those gimmick dunks...(i do think the 3 ball deserved a high score)...
The problem is that the dunk contest needs to go back to a format like the 80's where you only have 1 or 2 attempts max...maybe 3 dunks in the first round and you get to keep 2 scores...
And take out the props like a stupid doll or bringing in a car...i'm also not a huge fan of a guy throwing an oop, but there have been some good dunks using that and it is in the game so i am cool with it...
The dunk contest to me is about being wow'ed....just by the athleticism of these players...i know they say all the dunks have been done, but each player has their own style which makes them different...Blake didnt do anything too crazy, but the mere awe everyone was in made them great...
