"We attached ourselves to Morgan's will". Now that is what you want from a Senior point guard in a must win situation.

You're right, Jerry. Mo's stat line may not have been overwhelming, but she played like the senior leader we all expect her to be. In some ways, she put the team on her shoulders and she refused to settle for a another close loss.

How the heck is that not overwhelming. I think Carter was also big for us as well as Portia. The mid-range game was key

What I find very interesting is the change in the second half. We played it even in the second half. After a first half in which we had trouble rebounding, both OU and Texas had 19 rebounds in the second half. Other key things to the second half:

--Two turnovers
--Sharane matched Enemkpali with ten points
--Morgan matched Jones with nine points
--We had four steals to Texas' one
--The starters played 185 of the 200 minutes. Iron women.

So, you inferred that I my post was critical of Morgan's play? I'd suggest you go back and read it again.

Not at all. I knew what you meant. You stated her stat line was not overwhelming, don't understand that comment. But otherwise totally agreed with you. Boomer Sooner.

I think tycat has said this before. But, after tonight, Sherri has 398 wins as a D-1 head coach. That is the most wins for any D-1 head coach with fewer than twenty years experience.

Since you bring it up in this thread...but without a NC. Others have the NC with less wins. I'm sure as an educator, SC expected her students to make their best possible grade. Settling for a B+ when capable of A work has always been unacceptable. IMHO, she has had the tools, support, resources and opportunity to become a member of that top tier (A Honor Roll), but has settled (due primarily due to poor recruiting...getting the top recruits to the campus is one thing, signing them is another) for the next tier (B Honor Roll).

Now back to what SC said...keep the "will" up MH.

I would say the only player who has performed better than expected this year is Carter.

True, which is why I can't really be disappointed in the players. I think they are pretty much playing at the level expected for DIV I competition based on what they accomplished as prep players.
