No other Big 12 team got that week off either, and several of them are less deep than we are.

I don't understand the constant need to look for excuses. At this point, we are who we are. When shots are going down at a record place, we're pretty good. When they aren't, we can be beaten by just about any decent team.

I think the extent of this was to say how we are faring at crunch time and we did not fare all that well in crunch time in that game. All I can say is that their last 3 didn't fall and the clock expired. Other than that it was not a good last 30 seconds for us at all.

What were our statistics on games decided in the last 30 seconds in the previous 2 or 3 seasons? I would bet that they were not nearly as good as 55.5%.

While I do that, please name five other teams who have done better in close games. And if you do manage to find five of them, please be sure they've played as many top 25 and/or tourney-bound teams as we have.

Six of the nine games cited above were against team currently in the top 25. One other was on the road against a team that has just beaten three top 25 teams in a row and is currently considered tourney-bound. Another was on the road against a tourney-bound team that has the top NBA prospect in the country. The last one was a road game against an in-state rival.

Find five teams that have done better in nine or more close games against equivalent competition, and I'll tip my hat to you. But I don't think you can. Not even close.

I could care less if you get your panties in a wad or not. The simple fact is OU is struggling the last 5 games from the 3. Hit 40% 1 time. The 3 is OU's bread and butter...

We'll agree to disagree to "guess" what is going to happen over the next few weeks.

Just over three weeks ago, KU had just lost their third game in five tries. At the time, I'm sure their fans were panicking like some here are. But they picked up their game and there's no reason the Sooners can't do the same.

I know. Nobody from the conference had the week off, I never said we were the only ones that suffered.

I'm combining the outcomes of those 9 games -- all close so the starters have to play the majority of minutes -- with the fact we didn't get the normal week off.

KU had some games where their starters were able to get out of the game and they have a bigger rotation than us too. Now they look to be much fresher than we do.
