Every team isn’t a rival. I never said they can’t enjoy the sport. But yes, they can’t be a fan of our rivals. It’s part of what this team lacked is leadership and tenacity. You think Kenzie was r Coleman or Jennings would have been openly rooting for Texas?

Who decides who is a rival? So only openly? That also makes no sense to me. So when we pray openly with "our" rival and everyone is how great our team is and the prayer is open and with " rivals" that is okay.
I do not know about kenzie, coleman, etc. However, they were never in a position of Not being a rival of ALL other 7 teams. The players you have a problem with were not playing in the wcws but had they been I feel their focus would have been on their game.

Finally, thinking it takes not being open friends with people on a "rival" team to be competitive is a belief I do not have.

As far as the team this year, I do not have inside info, but they were a young team with a lot of talent who had
a grear year. Watching the wcws this year sheds some light on how the sport is changing and I do not belive it is caused by open friendships.
Imagine we will.have to agree to disagree.

I wonder if her coach knew. Most women are completely exhausted during the first trimester. I don’t think that Nebraska had the overall talent to win it all but still…..
 
I think the NCAA will sanction Nebraska for playing with too many players in the field. Be par for the course for those guys.
 
BTW, we have 3 pitchers signed in the 2026 class. Are any of them "power" pitchers that can throw in the 70s, or just a bunch more mid 60s spin doctors. It would be nice to have an overpowering pitcher on the mound again. Been a while.
 
I think Alyssa Parker was supposed to be that type of pitcher with velocity in the '25 class. I'd like to see her come up as a sophomore and be our ace. I like Lowry and Gauchino for the most part, but they aren't lockdown aces that can take us to another natty, IMO.

I believe EK Smith is the best of the 3 incoming freshmen pitchers, but I've seen a variety of rankings and they aren't all the same.

Seems like she planned this all along. I guess I’m not sure what the hurry was? Isn’t she 22/23?

Too many people have bought into the false lie that putting having babies off is for the better.

Anybody else that we might be after....or is there going to be a transfer portal thread?

There are advantages to both. Having a baby at. 21 or 22 could be wonderful for some women. For others, waiting until they are older and more established is perfect. To say that one solution is perfect for every woman is foolish.

I know she was lights out against us but is she really better than what we already have? I don't think she is an ace

She started in the game against Texas Tech but got slammed and then they played the other two arms in the other game that they lost...


Jaysoni Beachum from Florida State has also announced she will be transferring. She was the national freshman of the year two years ago but she's a third baseman which we do not need....


What are our needs? I think a backup catcher that can hit and a legit pitcher, what do you all think??

I can see it both ways but I think today's athlete is just different than even 10 years ago. I don't think there's as much loyalty to one program and because they've played with all these girls in travel ball or whatever they most likely have no issues cheering for them when we are not playing for them, doesn't mean anything. That being said, I would be extremely upset it's both ended up at Texas next season. I could see Pickering leaving but I don't think Wells is going anywhere...
