At the sooner caravan in Dallas. Listening to Moser, not much told that we don’t know already. Emphasis on how much retention will help us this year. (We shall see lol)

Really also emphasized he believes in Roger Denny and his vision for the program. Talked about how portal really opens after Christmas time, which is why the GM addition was a crucial addition.

Also mentions, we are close to finalizing a game in the Dallas area for this season.

Dallas Baptist? Lol

We should play KU in Dallas or another marquee program. It will probably be north texas or Utep tho.

Unreasonably harsh Boom Soon. He has been anything but an embarrassment. Good guy and has worked hard. Hasn't been a failure, just hasn't had the success that most expect. Not my favorite coach by any stretch but jeez dude.
Man, employees would love to have you as a boss if you're that easy a grader. I can't think of a single area in which he hasn't failed. And no, being a "good guy" isn't a tool to evaluate someone's job performance. Lots of good people are bad at their jobs. I don't know Moser so I don't know if he is or isn't a good person. or how his work ethic compares to other coaches. Frankly, I don't care. I do care that he is a really bad high major coach.

He has objectively been a failure at OU. Arguably the worst coach in ou bball history

So tired of hearing the "good guy" crap.

John Blake was a good guy too, and we couldn't run him out of town fast enough.

OU has had very few HC's that weren't solid people. That isn't a reason to overlook his worts and to constantly fight to keep him around.

From the behind-the-scenes stuff, how he departed, and some of the stories during his tenure with the Cowboys, it could be argued that John Blake wasn't the good guy people painted him out to be. I feel he liked to project himself completely different than how people said he was.

And Moser may not win as much as we like, but Blake was a totally incompetent coach who also failed at compliance and admin issues. Schnelleberger was a royal class pr!ck, Sonny's personality literally split the baseball program and alumni, and if you ever met Capel, you didn't walk away with warm and fuzzies. We've had our share of not so great of a guy coaches, even more on the assistant side.

But when you are a good guy, stay out of trouble, connect and get along with the admin, and be able to sell the program and a vision of what it could be, whether accurately achieved or not, it does get you some grace points with the bosses. Just as it does in the real corporate world as well. Being a good guy shouldn't be the sole reason to keep someone, but if things are on the margin, and a clearly better solution isn't avaiable, being a good guy helps.

Not defending Porter's record at all, but there is a primary reason he is still here. And my guess if he was more like Schnelly or Sonny, he wouldn't be.

Ya thats a ridiculous statement. Another added to the block list.
Best idea. Hopefully all the ones that liked his message too. They all think alike and obsess about him

He’s brought OU basketball to lows not seen since Capel. He’s an embarrassment.

I would argue that the press conference a few years ago whining about the tournament committee was one of the most embarrassing and pathetic things I’ve ever seen an OU coach do.

Doesn’t mean I wish him ill. Just calling a spade a spade.

OU has had 12 basketball coaches and not counting early years, few games played, Moser surprisingly ranks about in the middle winning percentage wise
of the rest, above the worst, Doyle Parrack and Bob Stevens and slightly better than Bruce Drake and Capel, Drake had a good career and probably didn't
play near as many stiffs as PM.
BUT HIS CONFERENCE RECORD IS THE WORST IN OU HISTORY. For that alone he shouldn't be anywhere near Norman, Oklahoma as a coach.
