Sooners #18

Probably about right except for the typical overrating of George Washington and Princeton. They always have some high win eastern school that is the latest fad until they play someone. Arizona State may be a bit high.

Duke may be a bit low. They may have lost Jones, but they replaced her with Salvadores which may be a step up, even as a freshman. With Salvadores and Romero, we might start looking at Spain for point guards.

I don't think GW is overrated. I do think Princeton is.

It does show that it is almost impossible to end up in the top 10 if you have double digit losses.

Why did we play so few games last year?

Three Hard Questions.

1. Which team ranked in the top 10 is most likely to end up outside of the top 20?

2. Which team ranked in slots 15 to 25 will end up ranked highest at year's end?

3. Which team just "receiving votes" will end up ranked highest at year's end?

1. Florida State. To me, they are overrated at #7.
2. Of the ones on that list, Oklahoma has the best opportunity to make some noise, in my opinion.
3. California. They lost a lot from last year (in Boyd and Gray), but Kristine Anigwe will be a force.

I question what Oregon State is doing ranked that highly.

I think OU could easily be a top ten team, maybe top five.

I look at the also rans and notice some teams that look good every year. WV had the Montgomery girls back. Iowa State is always someone to be reckoned with. But, I really like what I have seen of the UALR coach. They may push the furthest.

Michigan St. finished last year at 16-15 but moved up in this poll to #24.
