DePaul and Oklahoma topped themselves.
However, it was another disappointing result for the Sooners.
DePaul guard Amarah Coleman’s 3-pointer beat the buzzer in overtime, lifting the Blue Demons to a 111-108 win Monday over No. 21 Oklahoma in Chicago.

OU received a 25-point, 16-rebound effort from center Vionise Pierre-Louis and Maddie Manning scored 20 points, hitting a free
throw with 13 seconds remaining in the extra period to tie the game before Coleman delivered the final blow.

The teams combined for 204 points in the 2014 NCAA women’s basketball tournament, DePaul prevailing 104-100.

This time, their 219 combined points were the most ever in an OU game and the second-most ever in a game involving a Big 12 team.

Coleman finished with 23 points, leading six DePaul players in double figures. OU shot 54 percent on 39of-72 shooting. The teams combined for 155 field goal attempts in what turned into a offensive track meet.

OU built a 60-32 advantage in the paint, but DePaul made 19 of 45 shots from 3-point range and scored 22 points off OU’s 21 turnovers.

The Sooners (1-1) battled a deficit for most of the game but rallied in the fourth quarter with an 8-0 run to make it 92-92. Freshman guard Shaina Pellington converted a floater with 13 seconds in regulation to force overtime.

Pellington finished with 23 points, six rebounds and five assists off the bench. Gabbi Ortiz contributed 15 points, playing a game-high 45 minutes. Ana Llanusa (10) and LaNesia Williams (10) also scored in double figures.
OU faces SMU at 7 p.m. Friday at Lloyd Noble Center.
