This is a good lesson why you wait until the season plays out (or at least conference play gets under way) before you start spouting SOS smack.

Alabama, Stanford (the entire Pac12 blows), and Pitt don't look so hot anymore....

Just for clarification, this is more to say that OU played a tougher SOS than GastroIntestinalStout gave them credit for as I realize that OSU also played a challenging schedule.

I would also like to add that OSU has a losing record :D
 
OU's nonconference schedule was easy but expected since OU was trying to get as many automatic wins as possible.
 
Lol. Your SOS is 55 in realtimerpi, OSU's is 13th and and there is an even bigger disparity in the Sagarin.

I was pointing it out in pre-conf that you hadnt played anyone and were 9-1 or whatever, not getting a single vote at all, and thinking you had a shot at the NCAA tournament and/or were at least a good team. You boys were high on delusion about your team and I called it.

Well, thanks for the good chuckles, we all know who was right on that one. Its obvious you didnt get to 9-1 because youre good and after that impressive showing against all those tough teams you proceeded to lose 4 of your next 5 and 6 of your next 10 with 2 of the four wins against the worst team in the conference at home and something called Northwestern State. It has been obvious from the first few games in conference that OU has no shot at the dance but in pre-con it was actually a discusson on here. You also lost a completely lopsided game in Stillwater, not a single OSU fan was worried about that game shortly after tip.

Oh yah, OU is 1-4 in their last 5 games against OSU.

Not against that NCAA tournament squad in Norman, was that game even a less than a double digit lead for more than a few minutes of game clock?

Im well aware OSU sucks, they both do, but both teams are currently 3-5 in conference and a 12-7 (3-5) with wins against mostly cupcakes and no chance at the NCAAs wouldnt be something any self-respecting CBB fan would crow about.

You would know all about missing the post-season altogether, has it been 2 or 3 straight years that even the CBI didnt call?

OSU has no chance at the NCAA. Losing a ton of OOC games sealed that. OU still has a shot. Not a huge shot at it. OU has to win most of the rest of their games. But OSU will be lucky to get enough wins to even make the CBI.

GIA... Question what "delusion" were we high on? We were picked to be 9th in the league by the coaches... We could finish at best 5th in the conference! Now, I'm not saying we will finish 5th but I sure think 6th could easily happen! So yes, your team has a better SOS right now, but that will continue to change as we play more big12 teams and some of the teams we played continue to play good ball! There is no delusion with OU fans... If anything they are exceeding all our expectations! And we are gonna kick your butts in Norman! You can Enjoy your SOS ranking while we enjoy playing in the post-season

I knew this was going to be worth bookmarking for a future bump.

At least you guys got put out of your misery last night. It wont be pretty against Mizzou tonight with only 6 scholarship players.

Here's to AGAIN hoping that Bedlam can get back to where it was. I don't care what your fellow posters have said in other threads, Capel would have done significantly worse with the same roster than Kruger did this year IMO.
