Carey Murdock threw the name out last night and was on top of it, probably where Mark Rogers got his info.

I think it's awful unless I'm missing something. He took over a decent FSU team, got them to the tourney his first year, and then had 4 straight losing seasons and got fired... Maybe he learned something new at UNC

That's debatable. Herb Sendek and some of the names on Gottlieb's list are just as bad, if not worse. IMO

Yeah, two years ago if anybody can remember this board, Capel had been here 3 years and nearly 99% of this board would never say something like "anybody would be an upgrade from Capel". He had just won 30 games, had the #1 pick in the draft and signed two more MAA's that we all thought were great. Many on this board thought Capel was a star.

Funny how the actions of a couple of 18 year-old kids can change the opinions of a coach so quickly.

I think that is a good point, but the reality is that it was Capel's actions in how he handled situations that caused the change of opinions.
