Re: >>>>>Sweet 16: OU-Michigan State Gameday Thread<<<<<

We did well early on getting in the lane with the pick-and-roll from the wing.

Re: >>>>>Sweet 16: OU-Michigan State Gameday Thread<<<<<

Surprised that Walker didn't see the floor for just a few minutes to get him in there early.

Re: >>>>>Sweet 16: OU-Michigan State Gameday Thread<<<<<

On what play? The block? He hadn't raised the ball up to shoot at the point of contact. Thought it was on the floor - actually should have been a charge imo

That's called a shooting foul in that situation 95% of the time.

And then the ref out at half court called a shooting foul on Woodard along the baseline on a scramble for a loose ball RIGHT in front of the baseline ref who didn't call anything just moments later.

Anybody else feel like this halftime has went Atleast 2hrs 11min?

He had picked up his dribble and was in the process of going to the rim. I just don't see how that is anything but a charge or two shots.

Re: >>>>>Sweet 16: OU-Michigan State Gameday Thread<<<<<

They made nearly all open 3s...

Their % is a little deceiving due to all their forced putbacks

I can think of several open misses. They only shot 30%. They will shoot it better. We need to as well. Some of that is shot selection.

Re: >>>>>Sweet 16: OU-Michigan State Gameday Thread<<<<<

Have to run our offense. Booker and Cousins putting up crazy shots early in the shot clock.

Woodard really helping on offense.

Re: >>>>>Sweet 16: OU-Michigan State Gameday Thread<<<<<

Cousins' looked pretty uncomfortable as did Booker unfortunately.

Not sure what's up with Cousins. He's just not playing with in the flow of the game at all. Turned it over when he had Budy ahead of him on the fast break, throwing up long contested shots early in the shot clock. It's like he sometimes catches the ball and decides instantly "this ball is not leaving my hands, and I'm not gonna bother taking it to the hole."

Re: >>>>>Sweet 16: OU-Michigan State Gameday Thread<<<<<

As long as we are complaining about refs, they did give MSU the ball when Dawson clearly had a foot on the line before he threw it off Thomas. The ref was right on that.

The contact was made pretty far from the bucket - as I said should have been a charge...

The Woodard "shooting foul" was poor as it was a loose ball scramble.

Also MSU dude was out of bounds...with 8 seconds left.

Agree. He wasn't shooting and he charged.

Woodard is playing like a man with something to prove. He needs to keep it up

Re: >>>>>Sweet 16: OU-Michigan State Gameday Thread<<<<<

Best thing about Woodard today? Not one crazy drive to the hoop that turned into a wasted possession. Playing much more in control, and smart today. That's all I've ever asked of him.

Agree on all 3 points. 1 call in our favor and 2 against.

He's probably been our best player so far tonight. Need a couple other guys to step up.

Verne looks like a potato.

Re: >>>>>Sweet 16: OU-Michigan State Gameday Thread<<<<<

We started 8/11 and finished 5/21 from the field that half. Need to get back to running our offense
