Can history reverse itself? 1988 OU beat KU 3 consecutive times but lost in finals of NCAA!OU has lost 3 to KU so OU beats KU in 4th game???

I agree with Barry!

He was wrong. OU played KU twice in 88 before losing that NC game. And twice this year.

In 88, I thought we played them twice in the season and once in the conference tournament.

We played Colorado, Missouri and Lon Kruger's KSU in the conference Tourney. Kansas lost by 15 to KSU in the Big 8 semifinal. KSU played them 4 times that year. They would meet in the Elite 8.

I must be confused then. I do remember that KU wasn't supposed to be the best team in Kansas that year. So it definitely makes more sense that we'd have played state.

That year, Danny Manning put together an all time great tournament run at our expense. I think that Buddy Hield's run so far has been a match for Manning's. I just hope the dream doesn't end. It feels like this team is on the brink of making history.

2 more games to go hopefully. I like our chances.
