@ASGR1995: Per Joseph Dean Jada Terry 6/3 Post that transferred from Texas A&M Will stay in state commits to Candi Whitaker Texas Tech.

It looks like she did not get a lot of playing time at A&M. She was ranked high in high school: Ranked as the eighth-best post player in the nation and the 56th-best player overall by ESPN HoopGurlz … Called “the top 2013 post player in the state of Texas” and “should be in the national conversation” by Simmie Colson of Girls Prep Report

Maybe she just wasn't a good fit. So she will sit out a year and have the chance to get better and learn the system, so hopefully she can help Tech. The thing is being in Lubbock is very different from Dallas-Ft. Worth or even College Station. Hope she likes it there.

She played high school ball with Joynor Homles...

Whitaker will soon have a full roster to work with even if a significant number of them are transfers. The only thing wrong with that is that each will have to sit out a year. In the long run; hopefully, it will help them win some ballgames.

I like Whitakers Work ethic. She is giving all her effort to get Tech back in the upswing where it was. One of my Favorite young coaches on the rise.

Jada and her Cedar Hill teammate (PG) had originally committee to Texas and Coach Goestenkors during the summer prior to their Junior years of high school, I believe. After the coaching change the following Spring, both decommitted, although it was unsure who actually did the parting of ways.

The guard ended up signing with North Texas, while Terry signed with A&M; don't believe Terry's playing time has been very significant the last couple of seasons.
