The biggest cheaters in college basketball

No doubt.

If Travis Ford is cheating, then he clearly sucks at cheating.

What makes you say that? Everyone (and I mean everyone) wanted Marcus Smart, and Nash wasn't chopped liver either. The word on Ray Penn that I heard was after his explosion at the Reebok tournament in Vegas that his "mentor" openly stated that he would go to the highest bidder - Ray comitted to OSU not long after...

No proof of course - the good cheaters never leave much proof though...

No. He just sucks at coaching, and is a dork. Nobody of Smart/Nash's caliber wants to go to Stillwater to play in front of 6,000 people unless they are getting paid.

Jeez if Ford sucks so bad it must be getting old looking up at him and OSU in the Big XII standings the last 3 years.

Oh I see. So by your logic, since some terrible Oklahoma teams finished below Ford, this somehow mean's Ford doesn't suck? Logical fallacy and a horrible post.

What does what/where Oklahoma finished have to do with Ford and his coaching ability? They are two separate matters. Only 5 year olds can't discern the difference in the two and resort to comparisons. "ahh waaahh, waaaahh boo hoo, we still finished ahead of you!!! wahh boo hoo." Congratulations for finishing ahead of OU the last 3 years, lol. Ford should put that on his resume. Also by your logic, if a Kansas representative said "Ford sucks" it's okay. Makes zero sense.

Horrible.

OSU ranking compared to OU is how they measure success in Stoolwater. It is sad but true.

Well, since you put it that way it must suck realizing that you have been and will be looking up to OU in "scoreboard" pretty much for forever in MBB, at least during your lifetime if you over the age of 35. Maybe the bottled "spirit" that was captured in the last game played at the old GIA will help at some point? Oh wait, OU won that game too. Sounds about right.

Thank goodness for those seasons from 1908-1923 where OU built the series lead...

Thank goodness indeed...you get to cringe the same way I do when UT calls out "scoreboard" in football. :ez-roll:

If you knew anything at all about marcus smart you'd realize he is one of the last recruits who would ever take money. Hes on a james anderson level in that he won't even sniff trouble his entire time in stillwater, much less allow himself to be bought. Nash though, I could see him taking money. I could see him doing a lot dumb things, but fact is he too has not been in any trouble since arriving.

I could see that story about penn being true, but that would be a very bold move for a coach who has a player being recruited by tcu, miss st, etc. Not the type of schools who shop around or at least there bball rosters don't show that. You could be right. I have no proof against it, you have none for it.

Seems this place started drooling the day DFWHoopster came over here to accuse Ford of cheating the very day his beloved Baylor announced they were being investigated. Obviously trying to steer conversation away from drew and co. First person who wasn't an OU fan to come and make outright accusations and it just happened to be on that day. Seems odd to me.

Dignon, your reasoning is beyond flawed.

From 1908-1924, OU went 30-4 against oswho, building a Bedlam margin of 26 games.

But during Henry Iba's tenure, oswho went 50-27 against OU, all but erasing that 26-game margin. Combining the years you cited as the difference makers with the Iba era, OU leads the series, 57-54. Pretty close to a toss-up.

But where do we stand over the remainder of those seasons not included in the above two stretches? OU leads, 71-40.

Looked at another way, with anyone besides Iba on the bench, oswho is -- wait for it -- 44-101 against OU.

So, you were saying?

I'd need way more evidence to think that Ford cheats any more than the average D-I coach. Nash was almost the same scenario as Blake and Smart had an opportunity to 1. play with Nash 2. start immediately and 3. play with his HS teammate and he chose that over what was going on at OU during that same period of time. It happens. oSu has nice facilities, is relatively close to home, and I doubt either of them plan on sticking around more than a year or two anyway. Other than those two guys which are easily explained, I haven't seen an influx of talent at oSu that I wouldn't otherwise expect them to get.

You need to save that, Sky. I'm sure you'll need it again.

You'd think this stuff would have sunk in long ago with the orange-clad visitors to this site, but they keep coming back for more. They have very short memories, it seems.

Skyview I must say I thought you were a lot smarter than this. You are attempting to teach logic to an Aggie. It is never going to work.

With that said, I personally apprecaite the information.

I think it is more like selective memories.
