I have never been much for jumping on our players and coaches but this game proved that Sherri is so far behind the Baylor and Texas. As long as SC keeps with "her" program of recruiting and coaching OU will be a top of the middle team in the Big 12 and 20 to 25 ranked team in the country. It's time for Sherri to take a good look at what she is doing and make changes, if that means changing some of her assistant coaches then so be it, friendship only goes so far when your pay check is involved. I think Sherri needs to look at how she recruits players, I know she looks for great students, good citizens and good basketball players but when Baylor can play their deep bench players and they out play your starters something is not right.

Last night's game was a joke as far as OU goes, OU is not anywhere close to Baylor and the distance just keeps getting wider, Sherri Coale its time for a few changes, I'm not saying fire SC, no way but she needs to stop living in the past and bring her team up to the present.:OUbball-logo::OU-logo:

So Lon Kruger is on the hot seat as well by your way of thinking? OU Mens will never be UK or KU or Duke...

Step away from the ledge.

But the men's program can be... there has been a lot of back and forth on the men's board about why Young would pick Kansas over OU, but the fact that he has 99.9% chance to win atlest a big 12 title while at Kansas and a chance to play with other top 20 kids has to be a big draw to him...

So if Lon was to sign Young and make it to a final four next year, then signed Quentin Grimes in 2018 and won a big 12 title and went back to the final four, you would't say the program could reach the level of the big blues?

I agree, just like the OU women program will never be UConn, and most likely like Baylor as long as KM is there

I disagree, all it takes is 2 back to back strong classes and OU would be right there...

Yes that is true I guess, providing UConn or baylor doesn't continue to have outstanding classes. Guess we will have to wait and see

I don't think Baylor girls are a blue blood in basketball like Kansas, Duke, etc. About 10 years ago OU was better than Baylor. Baylor has upped their recruiting and coaching. OU women's team is in a rut similar to OU football before the coaching shakeup.

But the probability of that happening is virtually nil. As Dandy Don used to say "if its and buts were candy and nuts we would all have a Merry Christmas". Moreover just as the LSU women's program went to the final four 5 consecutive years they were never in danger of being a program on the level of Tennessee and UConn and today they are a middle of the road program not even on OU's level consistently. Likewise the Sooner program will never be on the level of KU, Kentucky and Duke until they have put together two decade of elite performances. And that is not going to happen.

I see what you tried to do here, but I'm still not convinced... and LSU lost Chatman, if not for that it's no telling where they would be right now. I think people often make excuses for both and men's and wemans basketball team here...

I think we see the future right now, I see things staying about the same. Maybe a bit better or worse. I feel like SC just can not bring the type of talent needed to be in the upper class.

And why not? Or does she even try to get the same players as Baylor?

If you followed the women's program routinely, you would know the answer to that question. But, like many who show up only after a loss, you have no idea.

Well young feller I have had season tickets since they started using season tickets, and before that I bought the ticket books. I attended the first post season game for her teams @ Wichita State. I have been at every B12 Championship and to most of the away NCAA post season Sooner games. I am a donner and season ticket holder for men's BB and football. What I don't do is follow recruiting, I don't have time to scour the Internet to see who is recruiting whom. So good luck if you do.

I think she goes after some of the same players as Mulkey, problem is SC can not close the deal when going head to head. Maybe Sherri is beaten down by KM? For what ever reason I think most of us can agree that baylor, texas are doing a better job than OU recruiting.
