for a return of the OU basketball baseline bash!

I think it could work well if:

- We combine the event with the women's program
- Have it during a football bye week/away game (these things never work if you have them on a football home weekend...people are too pooped to do both)
- Bring some former Sooners back (Blake and Hollis again anyone?)
- Market it well to the Norman surrounding community - radio, newspaper, social media
- Find a way to get students there (but please no Greek tie-in where folks are only there to hear how their house placed in a muscial or float contest).

I really do think we could get at least 5K and possibly more for this event if done right...

Thoughts?

1) What's the baseline bash? (Don't hate, I followed Michigan State basketball until the 2009-10 season)

2) November 12th might be a good date for this, without knowing whether it's a preseason event or could happen during the season.

Baseline bash is the term that OU used for Midnight Madness or Late Night.

Ah okay, in that case scratch my date recommendation lol. I'm not sure they'll try it this year, but possibly next year. I'd have to believe we could at least get 5,000 in the LNC for Midnight Madness, considering I bet we got 4,000 in today.

Every person who attends midnight madness receives a token that can be redeemed for a free seat to any non-conference game!

Book it.

This give people an incentive to attend the late night event. The same people who are willing to gather at midnight to watch the sooner are also those who will take that token and use it to attend (or invite someone else to attend, if they already have tickets) are home Non Conference game.

These games are rarely sold out, so wend up with more fans in the seats! It is a win win!
