If I drive up Thursday morning how much will it cost do you think for an all session ticket for that day/night.. Then if OU wins I'll stay for Friday and try to do the same thing. Any help or advice buying outside the arena would help me make a decision.. Thanks!

Your best option is to buy tickets per session, which is what I am doing. So, Thursday morning we plan to arrive at 10 am at the Sprint Center and buy from a scalper, and probably the same for Thursday evening.

If we win Thursday night and an ISU or other losing team fan wants to sell their tickets then I may buy but I'm not sure if I will be able to attend Friday.

Plenty of tickets are available or if you want to go ahead and buy now for the entire weekend you can buy from "Tickets 4 Less". They have a website and are located in Johnson County (KS).

FYI...scalping is legal here.

Yeah my wife can't go so that was another reason.. I didn't know if it would be weird to go by myself, but I appreciate the help.

I went ahead and bought a ticket for the Thursday evening session through one of the internet ticket providers. I probably overpaid a little ($125), but I wanted a guaranteed seat in the lower level....especially with the amount of fans that Iowa State usually brings to KC. If we were to win Thursday evening (and eliminate ISU), I would suspect it would be a buyers market for the evening session on Friday....if you can get them before the KU folks snatch them up.

And the scalpers.

I live in Wichita.. I just thought I might feel awkward going to game alone..kinda like a movie lol.. Some people have told me to buy a cheap ticket and just move down throughout the first game.

It won't be awkward. Lots of friendly fans - from all schools - in Kansas City.

worse case is power and light is right there....they'll have the game on in the courtyard...HUGE screen, sound up. Actually pretty cool to watch.

Where did you buy your ticket?

I bought mine off of ticket city. But they are tickets available on stubhub and other ticket outlets.

And don't worry about going by yourself. I've been to 6 Big 12 tournaments and this is the third time I've gone alone. The power and light district is a really cool area. You will meet fans from other schools and, for the most part, everyone is usually pretty nice and outgoing.

That's what the KU fans do...did they also tell you to wear a turtleneck? :ez-roll::ez-laugh:

After we got rolled by Texas in 08, with BG I might add, the next semifinal game was aTm vs KU. A friend and I were going to the concession stand between games and some KU fans, 2 ladies that bugged the crap out of me at Famous Daves before the games, asked me if we were leaving because they wanted my seats. I politely told them we were coming back, which we did.

Then, before halftime of the KU-aTm game, we left for good and again they stopped me. I told them we were coming back but we never did.
