OU uk battle

Some think OU early is bad news but I don't think so. Ohio st game. Tons of recruits will be in town.

Trae played on the Nike elite event in the Bahamas last week or so... Hung out with Buddy his a bunch. (Tidbit)
 
him at the crazy atmosphere of OU/OSU is awesome for us. He comes to practices and games on his own.

Him not going to the crazy atmosphere in Lawrence for Midnight at the Phog on Oct 1, is also huge news for us.

forgot to mention, even better, tons of commits will be in town. A bunch of kids his age all pumped up on OU energy and excited to be committed. Nice for him to hang around
 
Great stuff, guys! I choose to believe the tidbits you posted are signs that Trae will be a Sooner in the not too distant future. Everything he seems to want in a school is available in his backyard. Why would he want to go anywhere else?
 
I like that he's visiting KU & UK during football season. Hope he just gets it over with in the early signing period.
 
The schedule would seem to favor OU, with Young going to KU's campus but not during Midnight Madness. You think Rayford had a hand in putting him on Tech ' s campus that weekend?

UK has been the rival all along. The only thing I worry about now is briefcase cash.

If signing late is in his plans, I hope that changes.

I also don't think LK will wait that long without a plan B signature to make sure we've got a PG capable of running our offense in 2017 and beyond. He's not one to bet on the come the way Capel used to do. And to be honest, as much as I want to see Trae in an OU uniform, I would rather see us sign the best option available than to take that chance.

Trae Young says Oklahoma State and Oklahoma will see him Friday morning; Kansas in-home Friday afternoon; Kentucky in-home Saturday morning.
 
Did we actually have an in-home this morning? He tweeted about the OSU and KU visits but nothing about OU.
 
Not sure what happened but majority of crystal ball folks switched to Kentucky.
 
Doesn't mean he's going to UK (committing). He's going to visit.

Only problem is most of the guys who switched have the highest accuracy profiles, and when Meyer picks someone it's usually pretty accurate. Ah well that's why recruiting drives you crazy. Glad Lon always has plan Bs..
 
Unlike the kid from Oregon (already forgot his name), Trae won't be leaving his girlfriend behind if he signs with OU.
 
I dunno where he ends up but it would be hard to turn down UK..they do put the players in the NBA if that's only thing a 17 year is looking at.
