Jeriah Horne - Transfer from Nebraska
DaQuon Jefferies - Western Texas Community College
Jaleel Wheeler - Kilgore Community College
Geno Artison -College of Southern Idaho

This is likely an NCAA Tournament team.. wonder if Haith will ever get hired by a high major again?

I personally think its a great idea if you can make it happen

Works when you get good talent but Im not sure they are NCAA bound.

They play in a very tough mid-major league....

Houston, UCF, SMU, UCONN, Cincy, and Memphis. They had 2 programs win over 30 games last year, etc.

Last year they did not have the players to close out games, sound familiar, but this year should be different.

Houston, UConn, Cincy, Memphis ... that is a tough conference. geez.

Re: Wichita State

Their move was purely reactionary, based on nothing more than a hideous job of seeding by the 2017 selection committee. I'm still mad about it. I hate losing geographical rivalries and place.

Actually, they started the process of joining the American well over a year ago. The Valley has turned into a terrible basketball league over the past several years, and WSU felt that hurt them every year when it came to seeding. They also had dominated the Valley in the majority of other sports, and in recent years their athletic budget far exceeded other those of other schools in the conference. So close to two years ago, the school president announced that they would start looking into changing conferences. The American is a much better basketball league, though there are still a handful of bad programs in it.

How many automatic bids does a conference like this deserve? 3? 4? Less? Doesn't seem like a normal mid major league to me.
